Duro Dyne Technology And Materials, To Complete Some Of The Most Prominent


Duro Dyne technology and materials, to complete some of the most prominent construction jobs in the state of Illinois. Sheet Metal Werk’s new 90,000 sq. ft. facility in Arlington Heights, IL houses several pieces of insulation fastening equipment from the Duro Dyne Machinery Division. The Multihead Pinspotter, PBF-510 Pinspotter, PLS Automatic Liner Sizer, GBAC Adhesive applicator as well as the RH Mach II pinspotter are among some of the major components in the production line. When asked how long the Rolling Head pinspotter has lasted President Kevin Ryan stated, “Over 10 years and still going strong! Sheet Metal Werks utilized their multi-faceted production line to fabricate the ductwork that was installed at the new SchaDuro Dyne technology and materials, to complete some of the most prominent construction jobs in the state of Illinois. Utilizing 780,000 lbs. of ductwork, 30 drums of Duro Dyne adhesive, 7 skids of Duro Dyne Insulation Fasteners, and a workforce of 60 men, the Schaumburg convention center was constructed in 18 months. Figure 2 Shaumburg Convention Center This relationship between Sheet Metal Werks and the Duro Dyne Corp. has endured for nearly 20 years and extends beyond the fabrication of ductwork. In the process of hanging ductwork SMW has utilized the Dyna-Tite suspension system. Using cable locks and wire rope in place of threaded rod and band iron has cut installation time, improved safety on the job and has overall revolutionized the process of hanging ductwork. Figure 3 President of Sheet Metal Werks Kevin Ryan President, Kevin Ryan recalled a local restaurant chain requiring their ductwork to be raised 6’’ from the original installed position. The 6’’ uplift was completed throughout the entire restaurant within 45 minutes.
